About
I'm Louan BARDOU, a Visiting Researcher at UCSF. I build machine learning methods for computational neuroscience and medical imaging — with a focus on learning from scarce annotations, heterogeneous 3D imaging data, and high-dimensional brain connectivity.
Education
- École Polytechnique — M.Sc. Engineering (AI & Data Science track), expected 2026
- École d'ingénieurs — Materials Science & Engineering (LEEGO multi-scale modeling program, Caltech / UTC / Sorbonne)
Experience
- Visiting Researcher, UCSF (Rauschecker–Sugrue Lab, 2025–present) — weakly-supervised 3D deep learning for white matter lesion detection on the ABCD Study cohort; ML validation of DBS connectivity fingerprints in the Presidio neuromodulation cohort
- Research project, École Polytechnique — self-supervised representation learning on resting-state fMRI; extended Brain-JEPA with multi-scale temporal masking and VICReg covariance regularization
